AZOO Plus Dual Active Carbon Sponge is a special mechanical filtering medium for aquariums that simultaneously combines chemical filtration with a synthetic sponge impregnated with activated carbon and mechanical filtration with a non-textile synthetic fiber of fine porosity.

The sponge with activated carbon is manufactured through a special process of maximum impregnation of activated carbon, which exceeds 60% of its total content. It not only eliminates odors and the yellowish color of the water but also absorbs organic acids and residual chlorine from tap water.

The filtering sponge is made from non-woven fibers that retain suspended particles in the water. It can mechanically purify the water and keep it crystal clear.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

• Place this material in the filter so that water can flow evenly. To do this, you can cut it with scissors to adopt the shape of the filter.
• Briefly rinse this product before use.
• Replace AZOO Dual Active Carbon Sponge when it loses its properties. Its lifespan varies from 3 to 12 months. (the effect of activated carbon can last up to one month)
• This material is suitable for use in all types of filters, fulfilling the necessary stages of mechanical and chemical filtration. (Basket filters, wet-dry filters, hang-on-back filters, percolation filters, sumps, overflow pre-filters, reactors, etc).

OBSERVATIONS:

This material has a lifespan of approximately 12 months, although it is normal to change it more frequently in aquariums that generate a lot of dirt.

You can wash AZOO Plus Dual Active Carbon Sponge several times with clean water, but keep in mind that its performance will gradually decrease each time, and that the effect of activated carbon lasts a maximum of one month.

If it loses its spongy texture, consider replacing it with a new one. To achieve optimal performance, combine this material with other filtering media such as AZOO Bio Glass or AZOO Active Filter from the AZOO brand.

The water in the filter should pass through AZOO Dual Active Carbon Sponge first, and then through the other materials.
