AZOO Plus 3 in 1 Bio Sponge is a biological filtration medium that combines three special polyurethane foams for aquariums with three different porosities: Low density for the blue sponge, medium density for the brown one, and high density for the black sponge.

This heterogeneous combination allows for simultaneous aerobic and anaerobic bacterial nitrification activity, preventing pore blockages and enabling proper bacterial adhesion on its surface.

The special design of “lost pores” in the blue and brown sponges creates a spiral flow in the water, optimizing oxygen absorption by aerobic nitrifying bacteria.

In contrast, the high pore density of the black sponge provides the ideal environment for the proliferation of anaerobic bacteria.

Manufactured with top-quality materials that guarantee a long lifespan and high performance. It can be easily cut to fit any filter or aquarium design. AZOO 3 in 1 Bio-Sponge can be washed several times by briefly rinsing it in clean water.

Briefly rinse 3 in 1 Bio-Sponge before use.

You can use it as both mechanical and biological filtering material in all types of aquarium and pond filters. To do this, you can cut it with scissors to perfectly fit the shape of the filter.

Place this material in the filter so that water can flow evenly.

Maintenance: Clean this sponge with plenty of clean water.

For better performance, we recommend combining this product with other mechanical filtering materials such as AZOO Filter Wool or AZOO Filter Sponge and biological filters such as AZOO Bio-Glass.

OBSERVATIONS:

Used correctly, this material has a lifespan of over 12 months, although it is normal to change it more frequently in aquariums that generate a lot of dirt.

You can wash AZOO 3 in 1 Bio-Sponge several times with clean water, but keep in mind that its performance will gradually decrease each time. If it loses its spongy texture, the pores may have lost their peculiar shape.

Consider replacing it with a new one in that case. This biological filter medium also traps large and fine particles and can function as a mechanical filter.

If you want to achieve optimal performance, combine AZOO 3 in 1 Bio-Sponge with mechanical filtering media such as AZOO Filter Wool or AZOO Filter Sponge so that water passes through it after passing through the rest of the materials.

The goal is for AZOO 3 in 1 Bio-Sponge not to trap solid particles so that it functions solely as a biological filter. In this way, each material will fulfill its role correctly without interfering with the other, thus achieving more efficient and long-lasting filtration.
