AZOO Plus Skim 250 belongs to the AZOO Plus line of products by the AZOO brand.

The water surface inevitably accumulates dust, impurities, and organic matter, resulting in a film that hinders proper gas exchange on the water surface.

Compared to traditional hang-on-back filters, the AZOO Skim 250 surface skimmer can effectively remove and dissolve this surface film (“Slim”) that forms in the water.

The filtered water outlet of the pump has a flow diffuser that promotes water circulation in the aquarium without causing CO₂ gas loss on the water surface.

The combined effect of removing the “Slim” layer from the surface and increasing circulation without breaking the water surface creates a very healthy and convenient environment for aquatic plants.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

Remove your AZOO Skim 250 device from its packaging and proceed to disassemble it to rinse it with plenty of water. This operation will be useful to discard any dust or dirt deposits that may have accumulated during storage, transportation, or inspection. To carry out this step, take into account the details of its disassembly and the corresponding diagram (figure “A”).

Disassembly of the AZOO Skim 250 skimmer:

This device has three main parts:

Adaptive floating strainer with a buoy.
Transparent filtration chamber.
Pump body with diffuser and flow regulator.
To disassemble the floating buoy, simply slide it upwards by 5 cm until it is released from its two guides.
To disassemble the filtration body, hold it together with the pump body with both
hands and pull outward to separate both This body contains a small filter sponge that can be removed and cleaned.
To disassemble the pump body, lift the separating tray housed in two supports. This will release the flow regulator handle and expose the rotor propeller.
To remove it, hold it by one of its blades and pull upwards. The stainless-steel shaft will remain inside its housing. The flow diffuser is already disassembled and included in its original packaging.

Plan the location of your AZOO Skim 250 device according to the following criteria:

Now, clean the surface where you planned to place it, hold your skimmer by the pump body, and firmly press its three suction cups against the aquarium wall to fix them properly. Remember to position it as vertically as possible, 2 to 3 cm below the water surface to facilitate the operation of the floating strainer. The power supply cable of your AZOO Skim 250 should be positioned at least 1 cm away from the buoy to avoid interfering with its operation. (Figure “C”)
Next, place the flow diffuser in its holder and secure the power cable to the guide located in the transparent filtration chamber. Then, attach the suction cup included with the cable to the surface of the inner glass face. (Figure “C”) electrical supply system.
Adjust the flow regulation of the water pump to the maximum (near the “+” symbol). If you find that the flow is excessive for your aquarium, adjust it according to your aquarium’s needs.
Observe the operation of your Skim 250 skimmer for a few minutes, checking that the floating strainer moves freely, the water flow is correct, and there are no vibrations or strange noises.
